Q: Can I list my site for free?

A: Yes. An account must be created, then log into your account. Choose a keyword or

key phrase relevant to your site, fill in the url and description and change the bid amount

to $0.00 and submit. After review and approval, your listing will appear after the paid results.

 

Q: Do you share or sell members email addresses or information?

A: No we do not, we only use our members email address to inform them of changes or updates

pertaining to their search lemon advertiser account.

 

Q: How does my account get charged for clicks to my site?

A: Only one click per listing, per day, from an IP address is deducted from your account.

example: you bid a penny on the keyword phrase "digital camera", someone does a search

for digital camera at 9:00 am and clicks on your listing. They search for digital camera

again five times in the same day and click your link every time. Your account is deducted once

at your bid per click, in this case, one penny.

 

Q: What if there is more than one bid on a keyword?

A: The highest bid is first, if two bids are for the same amount then both listings will show up.

The one that bid on the keyword first is first, and then the other bid.

 

Q: Why do the listings have to be approved?

A: People that are searching the internet want to find relevant results, advertisers want targeted traffic,

by reviewing listings for keyword relevancy both of these tasks are accomplished.

 

Q: What is the criteria for approval or disapproval listings?

A: There are no restrictions except: If you want to bid on the keyword "travel" 

then your site, or the page on your site you are linking to, must be closely related to travel.

 

Q: How long does it take to get my site listed?

A: From the time you submit your listing, approval takes 1-5 days.

 

Q: If my site is not approved for the keyword or phrase I bid on what do I do?

A: Bid on keywords or phrases that are more closely related to your site, or try bidding

on "catch all" keywords. Catch all keywords will also come up in a search if no other listings are found

for a keyword. These are generally either misspelled words or words not found in a dictionary.

 

Q: What's an affiliate search lemon?

A: An affiliate search lemon is for our advertisers that want to earn advertising dollars 

by placing a search lemon or a generic search box on their site. Currently affiliates get

*$15.00 credit to their account for placing a search lemon on their site and *$5.00 credit for a generic search box.

Either search box also credits you **two cents per search and **five cents per click from your site.

Log into your account and Click on "affiliates" to get the code.

Q: As an affiliate can I get a check instead of advertising money in my account?

A: No, not at this time. We reward you with advertising dollars in your search lemon account.

*To receive the credit, you must email the webmaster with the URL of the page on which you installed your affiliate search lemon, or generic search box, along with your search lemon user name. Once confirmed, you will receive the credit into your account. The credit can only be used to advertise on search lemon and has no cash value.

**The same way your account gets charged, you only get credited once per day for each keyword search from a single ip address. Example: someone does one search or ten searches from your affiliate search box for the keyword "lemon" from their computer, you get two cents credit into your account, if they click on a paid result, you get 5 cents credit.
